Democracy, as a human project was already not doing very well under the onslaught of fascists and their idiot supporters. They were spreading their poison through the social web, after having appropriated it through the hijack of trending topics and even actual people who exert control over the algorithm. But at least it was work, and they had to do it.

Now, thanks to generative AI, the destruction of democracy is a push-button project being undertaken by massive corporations who benefit from the enfeeblement of the working class and the takeover of all that has been constructed to protect the rights of the individual. The brain fog that we are all in the middle of is not good for anyone.
